The 26th edition of Skipass, the trade fair for Tourism and Winter Sports, is to be held in ModenaFiere from 31st October to 3rd November 2019.
The event dedicated to winter sports and holidays, organized by ModenaFiere, is the point of reference for operators and those with a passion for winter sports. With an exhibition area covering 25,000 m2 and a further 20,000 m2 available for performances and demonstrations, Skipass is the largest mountainside trade fair in Italy.
The event which is open to the public, will appeal to fans of the mountainside and winter sports, tour operators, directors of winter resorts, businesses and mountain equipment and sportswear stores, ski and snowboard instructors and schools, climbing and dog sledding, snow parks and the freestyle and freeride enthusiasts, sports clubs, athletes and technicians, insurance, technology and the world of services.
A showcase for the snow-capped mountainside
Skipass is the largest Italian marketplace for snow related activities. Each year, for 26 years, approximately 500 resorts, Italian and foreign, and more than 100 exhibitors of equipment and sportswear choose to participate in the Exhibition and to become an exhibitor. The formula for Skipass, which combines demonstrations and performances, provides four days of direct contact with more than 90,000 visitors, with exhibitors and more than 250 accredited journalists. Contact with the Skipass public – skiers, snowboarders, hikers and climbers, and fans of high altitude sports – is a direct and effective promotional vehicle for the most important brands in the industry, as well as the younger, expanding niche brands. Meeting the end customers, coming face-to-face with their curiosities, accompanying them in their choice has become an infallible means to influence purchasing behaviour and nurturing brand loyalty just when a brand is taking off.
At the opening of the winter season, Skipass is a showcase followed through various media, by millions of readers, viewers and listeners. Skipass has been mentioned by among others Corriere della Sera, La Repubblica, La Stampa, La Gazzetta dello Sport, Il Giornale, TuttoSport, QN Il Resto del Carlino, TG1, TG3, Mediaset, SKY Sport Rai Sport, Radio Monte Carlo, Radio 101, Radio Deejay and all the main news websites. The Exhibition is preceded by a media campaign in the major national newspapers, with ads in specialized magazines and newspapers, as well as on various websites, radio stations and TV.
